Chief Minster K Rosaiah, realizing that the time has come for him to act firmly and prove that he is not a weakling, may seek the permission of the AICC president Sonia Gandhi to replace those ministers who have been critcising his government or policies by inducting some new blood into his Council of Ministers.
Against this backdrop, the Chief Minister is likely to effect major and drastic changes in his cabinet soon after his discussions with the Congress High Command during his visit to New Delhi beginning August 19.
With some senior party leaders trading corruption charges against his ministers, and the blamegame among top-brass in the State Congress for the party’s debacle in the recent by-elections called for a reshuffle in the State Cabinet.
According to sources, Rosaiah may be dropping some of his ministers and may draft in new members to run the administration smoothly.
Rosaiah is likely to seek the permission of the High Command to do away with those ministers who have been defiant of his orders and were openly aligning with Kadapa MP YSR Jaganmohan Reddy before inducting his new ministers.
The Chief Minister is determined to have his own team rather than be at the mercy of YSR loyalists.
