TRS out to finish TDP in T-region

After making a clean sweep in the recent by-polls,  the Telangana Rashtra Samiti is out to engineer defections within Telugu Desam in Telangana region.

As part of a calculated strategy to this effect, the Trs leaders have been instructed by party supremo K  Chandrasekhara Rao to rope in as many TDP leaders as possible into Trs-fold in a bid to finish off TDP.

Raj TV, the so-called Trs mouthpiece, is out to blare anti-TDP news to discourage the morale of the TDP men. The Trs leaders, right from Adilabad to  Karimnagar, are holding discussions with TDP  leaders coaxing them to join Trs.

It is learnt that some Trs leaders have begun saying it aloud that the TDP in Telangana has no future and Trs is the only hope if they want to thrive politically.

At the moment, however, none of the TDP leaders has expressed any desire to shift loyalties. But, we are sure that in the days to come, they will have to  switch their loyalties, some of the Trs leaders felt.

Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has also rightly admitted the present crisis post-byelections as a bad phase. The phase may be temporary as a ''group within the group'' may demand a north Telangana state in a few months from now.

''The Trs would neither be able to solve that kind of a crisis in future nor it has the right leadership to do so. A further division of the new state cannot be ruled out at any time,'' Naidu emphasised.
