Rambabu denied having received any such notice from the party disciplinary committee and told media persons on Friday that he would answer all such charges at the appropriate forum after receiving the notice. He came to know of the notice from a TV channel scrolling, he clarified.

Asked whether he would quit the party or post, Rambabu said he had worked with the party for 20 years and knows his job well. As a disciplined party worker who had great regard for party supremo Sonia Gandhi, Rambabu said he would not make anything wrong which would attract disciplinary action.

Rambabu made certain comments on July 6 in response to the Chief Minister's advice to party MLAs, Ministers and others against joining Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy's Odarpu Yatra.

Taking serious exception to Rambabu's comments as violative of party discipline, a few PCC office-bearers took up the issue with party high command which issued the show-cause on Friday.

''It's entirely the party's internal affair. I cannot talk to the press at this stage,'' Rambabu averred.
