Did the  marriage  take place or is it going to be held next week? Contrary to the popular perception and those of the media, the event slated for April 15 at Hyderabad could only be a reception and not a wedding between the Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik and the ace tennis player Sania Mirza.

This indication emerges from the invitation cards sent to the guests by Mr & Ms Imran Mirza, the parents of Sania.

Within hours after the formal annulment of marriage of Shoaib-Ayesha alias Maha Siddiqui, the Mirzas began distributing invitations for the wedding "reception" at a five-star hotel in the city on April 15.

Siddique's lawyer in Pakistan Barrister Farook Hasan told a Indian news channel that the April 15 invitation of the Mirzas clearly showed that it is a "valima (Marriage reception)". When did the marriage take place? Or will it be held over the next eight days? the Barrister asked.

Rumours are agog that the wedding between Shoaib and Sania might have already taken place, probably in Dubai.  The facts are yet to be established.
