Notice to Cong MLA on citizenship row

Karimnagar, Aug 13 :-

 Karimnagar Congress leader Adi Srinivas said that the Union Home Ministry on Thursday issued notice to the Vemulawada Congress legislator Chennamaneni Ramesh Babu on

a petition that says he is not an Indian citizen and seeks a direction to the government in the matter.

The Home Ministry has sought the MLAs response in the wake of controversy over his citizenship, Adi Srinivas told TNN on Thursday.

Earlier, Adi Srinivas complained that Ramesh Babu got the Indian citizenship allegedly by submitting fake documents before the citizenship commission.
However, the MLA said that he did not receive any notice from the Union Home Ministry in this regard.
