Opp MLAs stage dharna demanding justice for weavers

Telugu Desam Party and the Left parties staged dharna at Gun Park on Thursday, demanding the  Government to look into the problems of weavers. With yarn garland around their necks and holding Charka in their hand, they staged  protests  raising slogans against the Congress Government. Later they moved to the assembly on foot .

Focusing on the deplorable condition of handloom weavers in the state the legislators criticized  the Government for failing to  keep up its promise in writing off their loans.

Opposition leader Nara  Chandrababu Naidu speaking on the occasion said ``we will take up the issue with the Government and will not  leave  it until justice is meted out to the handloom weavers.’’
