Alleging that the all-party Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders are acting at the behest of  Telangana  Rashtra  Samiti  president  K Chandrasekhar  Rao, the Congress MLAs of Telangana region refused to tender their resignations to the State Assembly.

Defying the  JAC’s diktats on resignations, the Congress legislators decided to chalk out their own course of action on the issue. Bowing to the pressure from the High Command, the Congress legislators  said they would not resign but had decided  to write to All-India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi to revise the terms of reference of Srikrishna Commission and reduce its tenure to six months.

Earlier, the Congress  MLAs have stated that  they wouuld submit  their resignations to Sonia Gandhi  and now they want  to write to the UPA  chairperson requesting her to revise the terms of reference of Srikrishna Committee.

Accusing JAC convener Kodandaram, Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar suggested that the convener not work like a "postman" of the TRS but take into consideration the views of all parties before taking a decision.
