The constitution of Sri Krishna Committee to look into the Telangana issue is only a delaying tactics adopted by the Congress High Command, said senior Congress leader G Venkataswamy, popularly known as Kaka.

Commending the students' role in the recent Telangana stir, he said on Thursday the appointment of Sri Krishna Committee would be yet another deception by the Congress leadership.

Expressing concern over the sacrifices made by the students and the people in terms of lives and careers for the cause of Telangana, he criticized the Congress for dragging the Telangana issue too far.

The senior Congress leader, who paid a visit to the relay hunger strike camp of the students of Ambedkar Institutions on Thursday, extended his support for the agitation.

Kaka, who lost all hopes of getting important post in his life time, alleged that several leaders in the Congress have worked against him and blamed the leadership for not considering his candidature for the presidential elections.
