Vijayawada,  Feb 02:  Shocked by the death of his daughter Naga Vaishnavi, businessman Palagani Prabhakara Rao suffered a stroke and died in a nursing home here on Tuesday morning.According to sources, Prabhakar was admitted to a hospital on Monday after he suffered a stroke. He fell unconscious as he heard that his daughter had been done to to death after her abduction. He was taken to Heart Care Hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Within an hour he was shifted to Helps Hospital when he complained of intense pain.

On Tuesday  morning he suffered the second heart attack and was declared dead at 9 a.m. by the doctors.According to family sources, Prabhakar had stopped taking food ever since his nine-year-old daughter Vaidhnavi was kidnapped on Saturday morning.  The news  of his daughter’s death  aggravated his health condition. Meanwhile, his wife is yet to recover from the shock of her  daughter’s death.Relatives and friends of the family staged a ‘Rasta-Roko’ here against the failure of the police to nab the abductors.

Various political outfits have given a call for ‘Bezawada Bandh’ on Tuesday.As reported earlier, Vaishnavi was kidnapped after killing her driver when she was being taken to her school on BRTS Road in Satyanarayanapuram on Saturday morning.Chief  Minister K Rosaiah expressed shock over the death of Vaishnavi and her father Prabhakar. He conveyed the condolence message to the bereaved family.

According to sources, the Chief Minister will convene a high-level meeting to order a probe into the brutal murder of  Vaishnavi.Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu who reached here condemned the incident and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.Telanagana Rashtra Samithi supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao also expressed his heart-felt sorrow over the manner in which Vaishnavi was burnt to death and the death of her father.
