T-MLAs move SC over resignations

New Delhi, Jan 27: Telangana MLAs have finally knocked the doors of the apex court over the resignation pertaining to the Telangana bifurcation issue. MLAs from the region on Wednesday approached the Supreme Court seeking a direction that their resignations be deemed accepted.A petition, filed by MLA M Narayana Reddy was moved before Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan who will hear the matter on Feb 1. The petition names 139 MLAs from all parties who had submitted their resignations to the Speaker in December last year, as petitioners in the matter.
