Hyderabad, Jan 16: With the January 28 deadline (set by the Telangana Joint Action Committee), fast approaching, Congress MLAs and MPs are not willing to become a part of the `Constitutional or political crisis’ in the State. With no assurance from the Centre on the Telangana issue, there is a difference of opinion among the Congress leaders in respect of the resignation issue.

There is also a difference of opinion among the Congress Telangana public representatives in respect of `future strategy’ to be adopted by them on the Telangana issue. MLAs representing Greater Hyderabad city who include ministers M Mukesh Goud and D Nagender have proposed to organise a peace rally in the city to express solidarity with the non-locals.MPs, MLAs  and  MLCs  do not have a clear understanding  whether to resign or not.

Leaders like Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud are firm on not withdrawing their resignations till a `clear-cut’ statement is made by the Centre on separate Telangana issue. Other leaders including Malkajgiri MP Sarve Satyanarayana are of the view that there is no need for the members to bring pressure for acceptance of their resignations as the Centre has already `initiated’ the process for forming Telangana state.
