Oppn members stage walkout

Hyderabad, Aug 5 :-

  The Opposition party members –Tdp, BJP, MIM on Wednesday staged a walkout from the House protesting the government attitude towards construction of houses to economically weaker sections in the limits of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

When the Assembly met for discussion, the members alleged that the GHMC has failed to construct 27,379 flats for economically weaker sections though three years have passed.

Making a statement on the issue, Minister for Housing Shilpa Mohanreddy said the houses in Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts would be constructed before December under Rajiv Gruha Kalpa Scheme and handed over to the beneficiaries.

Not satisfied with the Minister’s reply, the Opposition members staged a walkout from the house.
