Hyderabad, Jan 2: In view of the vociferous demand from several quarters to accord permission for the conduct of the proposed Vidyarthi Garjana, Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Saturday called for an emergency meeting of his cabinet colleagues. The meeting scheduled for Saturday evening is expected to discuss the repercussions of the proposed ``Vidyarthi Garjana’’ in the capital on Sunday being convened by the Joint Action Committee of students. The other topic  which may  figure prominently in the Cabinet meeting is the  agenda  to be  discussed  during the Jan 5  conclave  in New Delhi.

Chief Minister K Rosaiah in the capacity of CLP leader will attend the eight-party conclave in New Delhi on Jan 5.Realizing the inability of all the ministers to attend the meeting called at such a short notice, the CM appealed to all the ministers ‘‘available’’ in the city limits to make it to the meeting.Meanwhile, it is learnt that pro-Telangana leaders met the CM and  urged him to grant permission to the students to hold the ``Vidyarthi Garjana,’’ on Sunday. They assured him that the rally will be peaceful and there would not be any violence.
