Hyderabad, Dec 17: Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhara Rao here on Thursday denied that there was any need for a resolution pertaining to T-state in the House.Rao tole newsmen at his house that the Centre had given its approval on principle to constitute Telangana state and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had announced the Government stand on it clearly.Terming the protests by leaders of Coastal and Rayalaseema regions against the creation of Telangana as `opportunist’, Rao urged the people and students to maintain restraint and advised them against going emotional.

He said the integrated Andhra agitation has no mass support and that it is heavily funded by the capitalists who want to protect their interests in Hyderabad. He also charged that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, PRP chief K Chiranjeevi and Cong MP Lagadapati Rajagopal with playing opportunist politics.“The TDP and PRP leaders promised to support Telangana state at an allparty meeting convened by Chief Minister K Rosaiah. Within less than 24 hours, these leaders changed their stand.

This exposed their true colours,” he said.Reacting to Rosaiah’s statement that Telangana agitation has died down, Rao said, “We have not given up the agitation, but only maintaining restraint and watching events on the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions cautiously.''"They are misguiding the youth and provoking the people. We have appealed to the people of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema not to play into the hands of politicians," he said. Hyderabad belongs to everyone and it is the responsibility of Telangana leaders to provide security to the people living there and safeguard their interests.
