Hyderabad, Nov 30: A Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Monday is reported to have discussed the consequences that led to the arrest of Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K Chandrasekhar Rao.The Chief minister is stated to have indicated that the Congress Party was not oposed to the formation of a separate state, but party president Sonia Gandhi has to take an appropriate decision on the issue.“AICC president Sonia Gandhi would announce her decision on Telangana State at the appropriate time.

It is left to her decision,” he is reported to have asserted.Making it clear that the division of state was not easy, the Chief Minister said it would be possible only through unanimous decision. As a national party, the Congress was facing difficulties in evolving a consensus on the formation of smaller states, he pointed out.Earlier,elected representatives from Telangana region urged Chief Minister K Rosaiah to restrain Congress leaders particularly from Andhra region from airing their views on Telangana publicly.
