AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Monday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi would forget all the promises that it has been making to the people.

Addressing a rally here, Rahul Gandhi accused TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao of going back on his words. He said KCR promised to merge his party into Congress and also promised to make a Dalit, the first Chief Minister of Telangana. However, he went back on his promises. Similarly, he alleged that KCR would forget all the promises that he is making to the people. He described TRS as a power-hunger party which could do anything to gain power.

Rahul Gandhi promised development and better administration in Telangana if Congress party is voted to power. He also promised to give tax holiday in Telangana for a period of 10 years. He said that a 4000 MW power plant would be set up in Telangana and all-round development of the new State would be ensured.

The AICC Vice-President claimed that it was the Congress party which turned the six-decade old dream of Telangana into a reality. While accusing some parties of obstructing the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he said that the TRS played no role in Telangana formation.
