Shortly before the House adjourned for the day, Telugu Desam Party Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and members rose en bloc to demand Finance Minister Rosaiah to apologise G Muddukrishnama Naidu.

They were engaged in a fierce verbal duel in the Assembly on Tuesday, over the latter’s demand for a response from the Chief Minister to ‘a false case’ registered against TDP deputy leader N Janardhan Reddy under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

They shouted down Mr Rosaiah down when he tried to speak. However, Speaker Kiran Kumar assured the TDP leaders to look into the issue and remove the comments from records if they were found unparliamentary. Not satisfied with the Speakers response, the TDP members created a ruckus in the House.

Later, the Speaker adjourned the House for Thursday amid trading of charges between ruling and opposition benches.
