Congress Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday strongly opposed the proposed public meeting of YSR Congress party on Samaikhyandhra in Hyderabad.

Addressing a press conference here, Hanumantha Rao said that YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy should not be permitted to conduct a public meeting in Hyderabad as it could deteriorate the law and order situation in the city. He ridiculed Jagan's claims that he would provide justice Telangana region in united Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that Jagan along with his late father Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy plundered the resources of Telangana during the latter's regime as the Chief Minister.

Hanumantha Rao alleged that YSRCP leader Sharmila referred to Hyderabad as Pakistan and now her brother was trying to vitiate the atmosphere by planning to hold a meeting against Telangana in the heart of Hyderabad.
