Amos advises Cong MPs against taking hasty decision

Congress senior leader and Mlc KR Amos on Tuesday advised the party MPs to restrain from taking any hasty decision like leaving the party.

Talking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Amos accused former MP K Keshava Rao of trying to exploit the Congress MPs for his own political gain by taking them closer to Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He advised the MPs not to fall prey to the politics of KK and continue to trust the Congress High Command. He claimed that only Congress party could give Telangana and the MPs should pressurise the High Command for an early decision on statehood issue.

Speaking about Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy's inclusion as an accused in the CBI's chargesheet in Jagan Mohan Reddy's Disproportionate Assets case, Amos said that instead of issuing statements in the media, the issue must be discussed in the State Cabinet Meeting. He said that public statements on the issue would damage the reputation of both the party and government.

Amos also asked Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao to approach the CBI Court if he wants Jagan Mohan Reddy to be shifted to Tihar Jail from Chanchalguda Prison. He said it was wrong to seeking Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's intervention on the issue, as only courts could decide on where an undertrial prisoner should be lodged.
