Telugu Desam politburo member and former speaker Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Friday took serious objection over the YSR Congress leaders disclosure of journalists confidential affairs and described it as a `tragic and a grave unethical act.’

At a press conference conducted at NTR Trust Bhavan, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the journalists would interact with various sections of people in pursuit of their professional functioning and more often all such things occur on a matter of confidentiality and mutual trust.

He said that it was nothing but natural for high competitive environment in reporting the happenings in the scandals involving lakhs of crores like Obulapuram Mining Corporation, YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s   disproportionate assets case, Emaar Properties, VANPIC, Lepakshi, Visakhapatnam Pharma City etc.

“It is very heinous of the YSRC to link such professional happenings for its political agenda.” he said, adding that 'YSRC is slanging mud on  journalism and judiciary system in a blackmailing tactic to escape from the serious charges the party leader Jagan Mohan Reddy was presently facing.”

Ramakrishnudu said “It is high time the media associations and whistle blowers wake up and took strong steps to thwart the attempts of vested interests as above to exploit them for their political ends by malinging the pillars of democracy like media, judiciary and investigative agencies.”
