TRS slams TG, Lagadapati for 'T' statements

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Saturday condemned the statements of Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Minor Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh that the Congress party would announce favourable decision on Telangana state if the Congress party wins in the ensuing by-elections to be held in 18 Assembly constituencies.

Talking to media persons, he said that the comments from a responsible Minister and MP were highly objectionable and they should not link the by-elections in the Seemandhra region to Telangana issue.  He asked both of them to make it clear whether they made such comments on behalf of the government or at their personal level.

The Siddipet MLA demanded that the Congress High Command take serious action against both of them for making such irresponsible comments and confusing the people of region. These types of controversial statements would provoke the students in the region to commit suicides, he said and asked the Seemandhra leaders to stop issuing such statements.

Harish Rao said that both Congress and Y S R Congress party were working to keep the State united.
