Bharatiya Janata Party state president G Kishan Reddy asked Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen to make its stand clear on to which party it was supporting in the by-elections.

Talking to media persons at Bjp State Headquarters at Nampally, Kishan Reddy said that the MIM was shedding 'crocodile tears' alleging the TRS, Bjp and JAC of conspiring to communalise the elections in Mahbubnagar to ensure the victory of Bjp's candidate Srinivas Reddy against Syed Ibrahim. However, Kishan Reddy refused to comment when asked about MIM's allegation that TRS candidate Ibrahim was being made a 'scapegoat' in the by-elections.

The Bjp leader accused the TRS, Congress and TDP of misusing money and religion to defeat the Bjp candidate in the by-elections.

Stating that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar reddy and Opposition TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu have no moral right to seek votes of Telangana people, he asked whether they raised `Jai Telangana’  slogan anywhere in meetings expressing solidarity to statehood agitation. He reiterated that a national party Bjp only could form the Telangana state. He expressed confidence that the people of constituency would never defeat their candidates and repose their faith believing statehood would be possible with the Bjp.

Kishan reddy said that he would campaign in Mahbubnagar by-elections from March 14-16. He said that Bjp Mahila Morcha president Shruthi Irani would accompany him in the campaign on March 14 and former national president Rajnath Singh would participate in the campaign on March 15.
