Konda Surekha to vote against Govt

Parakala MLA Konda Surekha on Sunday announced that she vote in favour of No Confidence Motion against the government.

Talking to reporters at the Assembly's Media Point, Surekha said that the State Government has obstructed the formation of Telangana state and even tried to suppress the statehood agitation using coercive methods. Therefore, in the interest of Telangana, she said she would in favour of the No Confidence Motion.

Surekha, who was elected on a Congress ticket and later joined the Jagan Mohan Reddy camp, also asked the Congress MLAs from the region to prove their commitment towards Telangana by voting against the government. She reminded that the MLAs have earlier claimed that they were ready to sacrifice anything to achieve statehood for Telangana. "This is the right time and opportunity to prove your loyalty towards Telangana," said adding that the MLAs would never a similar opportunity in future.

Surekha also requested the general public to pressurise the Congress MLAs to vote in favour of No Confidence Motion.
