Former Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday condemned Congress in-charge of State Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad's statement linking his suspension from the Cabinet by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy due to his misbehavior at RTA Office in Khairatabad.

Talking to media persons at his residence, Venkat Reddy said that Azad's statement on suspending him from the Cabinet by Chief Minister was baseless and far from the truth. He slammed the Chief Minister for sending wrong reports against him to the High Command.

Venkat Reddy said that he had announced long back that he would resign from the cabinet. “I honoured my promise and submitted my resignation to the Governor when the Centre failed to announce the formation of Telangana by September 30," he said. He slammed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for not likening the Telangana leaders in the cabinet.

The former minister appealed to Speaker Nadendla Manohar to accept his resignation submitted for assembly seat also. He said that he would participate in the Telangana agitation with other leaders if the Centre fails to make announcement within next two days.
