T announcement will come soon: Chandra Deo

Union Minister of Tribal and Panchayati Raj Affairs Kishore Chandra Deo on Friday stated that the high command would take a decision on Telangana issue soon.

Talking to reporters as part of his visit to district to participate in a series of programmes, Kishore Chandra Deo expressed confidence the Congress high command would take a decision on the controversial statehood issue to put an end to uncertainty in the state.

Deo said that the Backward Region Grant Funds would be released by taking mandal as a unit. He said the division has been done to ensure the money that’s flowing into these regions was properly utilized. He said some district have failed to use the BRG Funds properly particularly in naxal influenced areas.

As part of visit, the Union Minister inaugurated additional school building constructed for Zilla panchayat girls high school in Veeraghattam. He also laid foundation stone for construction of bridge at Ottigadda stream in Kottugumaddi.
