Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office, the former chief minister said that there is no truth to the reports which have sporadically made their way into print media about the distance between Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy and his Cabinet, and described the reports as `baseless’ and far from truth.

“If any differences do crop up, the High Command will enquire with minister concerned and take immediate steps to nip the problem in the bud,” Mr Rosaiah said.

The latest episode over the frequent differences which crop up among the Cabinet colleagues came to light after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting where some Ministers are believed to have expressed dissatisfaction over the sudden decision to reshuffle of top IAS officials without taking into them confidence.

The Ministers also expressed their resentment over the Chief Minister for not taking them into confidence before deciding on portfolios to Praja Rajyam Party leaders in the next expansion of the Cabinet, tentatively scheduled for June-end.

After Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana’s appointment, the party has gained its lost image and its base has been strengthened, Mr Rosaiah said.

He expressed confidence under the new PCC chief president, the party would get its earlier glory and would be able to effectively deal with the challenges thrown by opposition parties.

Mr Rosaiah added that he was confident that the new PCC chief would take everyone into confidence and take party programmes and government schemes forward.
