The president of the Nellore district unit of the PRP, Mr B Raghavendra Reddy, strongly felt on Monday that Mr Chiranjeevi better merge the party with the Congress as the Tollywood hero does not have the tactics to run the political outfit.  He ridiculed the tackling of various issues in the party by the PRP chief.

“Mr Chiranjeevi may be a mega star in the celluloid world. But he is a big zero in politics. He miserably failed to take the party on the right path. Thus, Mr Chiranjeevi can no longer keep the PRP leaders together and it is time that he thought of merging the party with the Congress under the leadership of Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, the son of late chief minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,” Mr Raghavendra Reddy remarked while talking to media persons here.

The remarks of Mr Raghavendra Reddy coming at a time when the party is forming its district units and appointing various committees acquired significance. Party circles in Hyderabad make light of his comments, particularly against the party leadership. “He is a disgruntled leader and his words at this stage do not carry any value,” the circles commented.

Mr Raghavendra Reddy felt that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy is the right choice for the post of the chief minister. “Though it is their internal matter, I strongly feel that the Congress High Command take a positive decision to appoint an young and energetic leader as the chief minister,” he observed.
