Mr Khan was closeted with the Minister for quite some time in his Chambers.

Later, the Minister was approached by media persons and asked to spell out the latest developments regarding the calls issue.

Dr Shankar Rao, normally articulate to the point of being garrulous, on Monday chose to remain uncommunicative. He however, stood his grounds that the culprit spoke to him in an intemperate language that did not deserve print.

Asked further whether Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had spoken to him the reply was in the negative.

The Minister also was evasive over several questions raised about the record of the threatening calls' number in his cell which he handled on his way to Srikalahasti in Chittoor district on January 13.
