 The Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, on Thursday directed the  district  collectors  concerned to implement all government schemes launched by late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in letter and spirit.

Addressing a video conference with the Collectors in the State on Thursday, the Chief Minister said the government would follow the foot steps of YSR in popularizing and implementing the government schemes.

He asked the officials to follow the right guidelines  so that  these programmes will reach  the door steps of eligible beneficiaries in a transparent manner. He directed the collectors to take steps to keep in check  the rising prices of essential commodities by conducting day to day meetings with officials concerned.

He also instructed the collectors to take steps on preventing pandemic diseases like swine flu, dengue and viral fever in agency areas.He asked the officials implement YSR’s pet programme, Arogyasri without giving any chance to malpractices. He insisted  that the  officials should make surprise visits to the  hospitals to  see if  there  are any lapses in the implementation of the program.


The CM said that every government official right from the collector to the tehsildar should attend the duties without fail on Mondays and meet the people to solve their problems.  He added  that they should undertake field visits twice or thrice in a week to take stock of the situation in implementing  the  welfare  schemes.
He also directed the collectors to take up the reverification of the government schemes like pensions, housing, ration cards etc and directed them to set right any irregularities in the schemes. The CM instructed the Collectors to implement the national employment guaranty scheme effectively by completing the targets. Principal Secretary Ramakanth Reddy,   a handful of minsters along with  other officials attended the conference.
