Leaders of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) on Thursday met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the Secretariat and submitted a memorandum listing out various issues.

Talking to media persons later, CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu said that the party had requested the Chief Minister to take not of the pending issues like the Minimum Support Price to the farmers on paddy including Rs 200 as bonus, Rs 4500 per quintal through Food Corporation of India, Civil Supplies for which the farmers were agitating, Rs 2500 per quintal for sugarcane, Rs 750 per quintal for oil palm, Rs 5000 for discoloured rice.

The CPM leaders also also asked the government to find solution for government staff, contract lecturers, IKP contract workers and ITD contract workers working in the hostels, pensions for geetha workers etc.

Apart from Mr Raghavulu, CPM leaders P Ramaiah, P Madhu, Julakanti Ranga Reddy, Ch Sitaramulu, Y Venkateshwara Rao and S Punyavathi signed the memorandum.
