Talking to media persons after the submitting a memorandum to the Governor Mr Kishen Reddy stated that that Mr Rosaiah has lost the right to continue as Chief Minister after he violated the rules and took part in Dharna at a plane where Section 144 was in force.

He added that he had urged Governor Narsimhan to seek a report from Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao over the dharna and order disciplinary action against police officials who had not registered cases against the protestors that day.

The BJP chief also demanded that Mr Rosaiah and other PCC leaders should be arrested for violating the law by staging a dharna in a place where it was banned.

The BJP memorandum pointed out that the state High Court had prohibited holding of dharnas in Hyderabad. The High Court had directed that any protests should be limited at the Dharna Chowk at Indira Park.

The memorandum reminded the Governor that when other political parties or organisations had earlier tried to hold dharna elsewhere from the Dharna Chowk, they were arrested and cases filed against them.

The dharna at Basheer Bagh Crossroads was particularly violative in the sense that it was staged inside the area declared as "Red Zone" since it is within the radius of one kilometre from the Legislative Assembly and the Secretariat, they stated.

Mr Kishen Reddy told media persons that the Governor had given the delegation a patient hearing and had assured them that necessary action will be taken after going through the report.
