Modi basher Owaisi springs a surprise

Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of the AIMIM, known for his sharp criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has expressed support for the government's stance on reclaiming Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). This marks a shift from his previous critical approach towards the issue.

Owaisi stated that his party has consistently maintained that POK is an integral part of India. He expressed hope that the government's current pronouncements on POK are sincere and not merely election rhetoric aimed at exploiting public sentiment. Owaisi urged the government to approach the issue seriously and avoid using it for political gain.

He criticized the BJP for allegedly using the POK issue and the promise of winning 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections to mislead the public. He questioned the BJP's claims of achieving such a victory, particularly in light of their policies, which he believes have negatively impacted the public.

Owaisi called upon voters to carefully assess the claims made by political parties and hold them accountable for their promises. He expressed confidence that the BJP will face setbacks in the upcoming elections, including in Uttar Pradesh, where he anticipates his party making gains.
