Tensions are escalating in Andhra Pradesh as the Land Titling Act becomes a central issue in the lead-up to the elections. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a fiery counter-offensive against opposition criticism, directly targeting prominent figures like Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan.

The Act has ignited a war of words between the ruling YSRCP and opposition parties, with the latter alleging that the Act jeopardizes land ownership security. The ruling party has vehemently denied these claims, urging the public to disregard them as misinformation.

Former IAS officer I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, now aligned with the BJP, added fuel to the fire by criticizing pro-TDP media coverage of the Act, asserting that it closely resembles the BJP's stance.

Chief Minister Jagan, in a powerful address, challenged Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan, questioning the documentation they received when purchasing land in Rushikonda and Mangalagiri respectively. He pointedly asked if they received Xerox copies, implying hypocrisy in their criticism.

Jagan emphasized that his government has issued original land documents to 9 lakh individuals, directly contradicting opposition claims. He accused the opposition of spreading falsehoods about the Act to undermine public trust.

The Chief Minister asserted that his government's schemes aim to benefit the people and are devoid of irregularities. He further alleged that former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is plotting to disrupt these schemes and halt the distribution of welfare benefits.

This clash over the Land Titling Act highlights the intensifying political battle in Andhra Pradesh as elections draw closer. The Act's implications for land ownership and its potential impact on voters are likely to remain a central theme in the upcoming campaigns.
