State government employees on Friday announced that the proposed ‘Chalo Hyderabad' call on September 25 has been deferred after a Group of Ministers has agreed to hold consultations with the Joint Action Committee of State Government Employees on the recommendations of the Ninth Pay Revision Commission.

According to Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners, the planned march to Hyderabad was deferred following an assurance by the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Pay Revision Commission Recommendations to address their demands in 15 days.

Addressing media persons at the Secretariat, AP NGOs president Gopal Reddy and Telangana NGOs president K Swamy Goud said the Cabinet Sub-Committee comprising of Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasad and Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy would look into fitment benefit of 39 per cent in revised pay scales and other demands of employees.

Based on the recommendations of the Group of Ministers the government will take appropriate decision within 15 days.

The JAC leaders threatened to intensify their protest across the state if the government did not fulfill the employees’ demands within a fortnight.
