Will heed HC's decision on my political future: DS

Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas on Thursday said that the state unit of the party is still awaiting instructions from the High Command over the organizational elections.

The PCC chief told media persons that he would obey any instructions from the party High Command over his future. He said, “Sonia Gandhi will decide my future. Whatever decision she makes about my future, I will obey it without question.”

Reacting on the Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s Odarpu yatra, Mr Srinivas said that that AICC secretary and In-Charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs Veerappa Moily is looking into the issue. “I don’t want to involve myself in the issue. If the High Command asks me to give any suggestions I will do so,” he maintained.

Reacting on the allegations of star couple Rajasekhar and Jeevitha against Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi, he termed the allegations on blood bank as ‘not a good omen.’

The PCC chief also said that thought the PRP’s decision to support the Congress is welcome, his party was not in a desperate position to seek support.

Mr Srinivas also said that Chief Minister K Rosaiah would take any decision on an imminent Cabinet reshuffle. “He is the right person to take any decision on administration” he said.

The PCC chief said the Telangana Liberation Day will be observed at Gandhi Bhavan on September 17. On declaration of Telangana Liberation Day as state fete, Mr Srinivas said a decision will be taken by Chief Minister on the issue after discussing it with concerned leaders.
