Threatening phone calls to kill Rosaiah

There were at least five threatening phone calls to the Chief Minister’s office in the Secretariat on Wednesday. The anonymous callers threatened to kill Chief Minister K Rosaiah.

On learning about the threatening phone calls, the police officials pressed into service dog squads and bomb disposal squads. The bomb squads did not find any bombs either in the `C’ Block or in the Secretariat. Tight Security arrangements have been made at the `C’ Block as a precautionary measure.

The police are enquiring into the source of the call and whether the call was made from a landline or a mobile phone. However, officials are yet to confirm the place of origin of call.
