The state is, obviously facing a urea crunch. Farmers are agitated over the shortfall all over the state. The Government has raised its hands in helplessness against curbing the black-market of urea and other fertilizers.
Responding to the shortage of urea in the State, Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy on Wednesday assured the farmers that the shortage will be overcome by month-end. It was only a promise that the Minister could extend.
Addressing newsmen on the farmers' stir in the district, Reddy admitted that the situation, indeed, was serious and the Government was sieged of the issue.
