Star director Shankar is facing tough time. The director has landed in legal trouble over plagiarism charges for his 2010 blockbuster film Enthiran. The film starring Aishwarya Rai and Rajinikanth was released in Telugu as Robo.

Now, the Chennai High Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Shankar in the plagiarism case after he failed to appear before the court over a period of 10-years. The case was filed by writer Arur Tamilnadan who accused Shankar of stealing his work titled Jiguba.

As per Arur Tamilandan, his work titled Jiguba was first published in Tamil magazine in 1996. Later, it was published as a novel titled Dhik Dhik Deepika Dheepika in 2007. The writer also claimed Rs 1 crore over copyright infringement.

The case now has been adjourned to February 19. On work front, Shankar is currently busy with Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan.
