Who ever have seen the National Award winning Hindi movie ‘Fashion’ will see the passion of film maker Madhur Bhandarkar. The way he experimented with India’s fashion industry with the main plot of a model who gets addicted to sex and drugs is laudable and here comes the counter parts of Madhur Bhandarkar in South and his name is Indrajit Lankesh, the director and Manju, the producer.
Both of them hailing from Bangalore have almost finalized the Southern version of ‘Fashion’ in all three languages Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. ‘Of course the fashion scene down south is not as bold as it is in Mumbai but the basic nuances remain the same. A lot of girls who enter the field face problems that I want to show in my film,’ said Manju.
The role portrayed by Priyanka Chopra in ‘Fashion’ will be done in South languages by slender beauty, Ileana. By the way, this prestigious project will go on sets by August. So, it would be a rare role for Ileana to excel as it has the perfect shades of a model who got addicted to drugs and sex and even Ileana comes from modeling field.
