Why Balakrishna Deserted Mohan Babu?

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s dram project NTR, biopic on NTR, already has ensemble cast such as Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati, Mokshagna, Sumanth, Manjima Mohan, Kalyan Ram, Sachin Khedekar, Venkatesh (Cameo), Mahesh Babu (Cameo) etc.

Latest to join the list is mega brother Nagababu who will be playing the role of legendary actor SV Raga Rao who acted in many films alongside Sr NTR. Actually, many thought Mohan Babu who played the role of SV Ranaga Rao in Savitri’s biopic Mahanati will be casted for the same role in NTR. But, surprisingly it didn’t happen.

Mohan Babu was very close to Sr NTR and the former maintained good affiliation with the latter’s sons Harikrishna and Balakrishna. It is known that, Harikrishna played a brief role in Mohan Babu’s Sri Ramulayya and Balakrishna essayed an extended cameo in Manchu Manoj’s Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara.

Reports suggest that, Mohan Babu is willing to join YSR Congress Party and he is hoping to contest in the next elections with YSR Congress ticket. Apparently, these reports upset Nara and Nandamuri families. In fact, Balakrishna will never go against his brother-in-law and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Hence, Balakrishna signed Nagababu to play the crucial role in his film. More importantly, Nagababu’s presence will get him additional support from mega fans.
