Telugu Flop Director Gets B-Town Call

Director Deva Katta has delivered only flops in his decade career in Tollywood. While his first movie Vennela was a commercial failure, his second movie Prasthanam won critical acclaims but botched to mint money at box office. Katta’s last directorial Autonagar Surya with Naga Chaitanya too ended as a disaster.

Interestingly, Deva Katta has now bagged a Bollywood offer. He will be remaking Prasthanam in Hindi with Sanjay Dutt reprising the role of Sai Kumar. Besides playing the lead role, Sanjay Dutt will also produce the film under Sanjay Dutt Productions in association with Aakarshan Entertainment.

Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur will play other lead roles in the movie which will start rolling on June 1st which marks birth anniversary of Sanjay Dutt’s mother Nargis Dutt.

On the flip side, Sanjay Dutt too is going through lean phase. Thus, Prasthanam remake is very crucial for Deva Katta as well as for Sanjay Dutt!
