Run, run, Rana

Upcoming Telugu star and grandson of producer D Ramanaidu, Rana Daggubati who made his debut in Sekhar Kamula film Leader, last week got a spicy offer. He has been chosen to act as Abhishek Bachchan’s co-star in a Rohan Sippy film on the drug racket in Goa. The role which was initially offered to Farhan Akhtar and Emraan Hashmi, has now gone to Rana. When Rohan Sippy watched Rana’s role in Leader, he was struck by the Telugu actor’s looks.

The Sippy brothers knew Rana was the right choice. We all know Rana as the son of distinguished film producer Suresh Babu, while his uncle is well-known Victory Venkatesh.Rana will now be another South Indian actor trying his fortune in the Bollywood after the likes of Kamal Haasan. Rajnikant, Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh (who was launched in Anari (1993) opposite Karisma Kapoor by his father D Rama Naidu.
