As film industry became the soft target for all kinds of agitations, there was a hidden fear among many producers and directors on what would be the fate of Telugu films if the current state of Andhra Pradesh is divided into two with the formation of Telangana state. Amidst lot of confusions, Lok Sabha passed the Telangana Bill and as expected, Seemandhra MLAs and MPs from Congress are resigning. As a not of consolidation, Ashok Babu, the man leading APNGO movement against the bifurcation has finally said it “Hands Up’ by calling off the agitations and Bandh calls.

‘We have done our level best to stop the Telangana Bill. But, our agitations haven’t done a big margin of difference to Central Government which behaved rigid in passing the Bill in Lok Sabha. There is nothing much we can do now. So, I am calling off the agitation,’ Ashok Babu informed the media. This means, cinema halls will be opened for screening of ‘AAha Kalyanam’ and ‘Pranam Kosam’ releasing on 21st of this month.
