Dune Part Three Breaks The Odyssey IMAX Advance Booking Record

Dune: Part Three has reportedly set a new advance booking record at London’s BFI IMAX. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sci-fi film sold around 33,000 tickets in its first 24 hours, generating nearly £880,000 in gross sales. The strong opening has created fresh buzz among fans.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey previously held the venue’s record, earning around £750,000 during its first 24 hours of advance sales. Dune: Part Three has now moved ahead, showing strong demand for the next chapter of the popular science fiction franchise. These figures relate to advance bookings at BFI IMAX, not worldwide box office collections.

Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides in the third film, which explores the consequences of his rise to power. Denis Villeneuve returns to direct, continuing the story based on Frank Herbert’s Dune universe. The film is expected to bring political struggles, personal conflicts and large scale science fiction visuals to the screen.

Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Robert Pattinson and Florence Pugh are among the cast members. The record breaking advance sales suggest strong interest in watching the film on premium large format screens. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on December 18, 2026.
