Ramayana Movie Gets U Certificate Runtime Confirmed

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One has reportedly received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film’s runtime is said to be three hours and 15 minutes, or 195 minutes. The certificate allows audiences of all age groups to watch the film without age based restrictions.

The U certificate could help attract families, children and older viewers to theatres. Based on the Indian epic, the film brings a familiar story to the big screen on a grand scale. Its long runtime also gives the makers room to explore the characters, major events and world of Ramayana.

Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Yash appears as Ravana, and Sai Pallavi plays Sita. The film’s music features Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman, bringing together international and Indian musical talent. The team is preparing for a major release across several Indian languages and premium cinema formats. The bookings for premium formats are open all over including Telugu States where Dil Raju is releasing in Telugu through his SVC banner.

Ramayana: Part One is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, including IMAX screenings. A Los Angeles premiere is planned for October 27, followed by other premiere events. The film has also been declared tax free in West Bengal, according to reports.
