Ranbir Kapoor Apologises for Ramayana Speech Mistake in Kolkata

Ranbir Kapoor has addressed the speech mistake that went viral during the Ramayana promotional event in Kolkata. While speaking about the victory of good over evil on Dussehra, the actor accidentally said the opposite of what he intended. The clip spread quickly online, leading to memes and jokes.
Ranbir clarified his words the following day and apologised for the confusion. He explained that it was just a slip of the tongue and that his message was about goodness and honesty winning in the end. Rather than taking the incident too seriously, he handled it with humour.
To lighten the mood, Ranbir jokingly referred to Jo Bhi Main, a popular song from his film Rockstar. The song reflects how difficult it can be to express what is truly on your mind. His playful response helped turn the viral moment into a lighter conversation among fans.
The Kolkata event was part of the Ramayana promotional tour, attended by Ranbir, Yash and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, who announced that the film would be tax free in the state. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part One is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026.
