Chiranjeevi Vishwambhara May Not Replace Kaaka for Sankranthi 2027

Fresh reports have sparked speculation over Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara and Kaaka competing for the Sankranthi 2027 window. However, the latest developments indicate that Kaaka remains firmly scheduled for January 13, 2027. The makers reiterated the date while conveying birthday wishes to Screenplay Writer Chakravarthy.
Directed by Bobby Kolli, Kaaka reunites Chiranjeevi with the Waltair Veerayya filmmaker. Produced by KVN Productions, the action entertainer stars Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil and Getup Srinu. Its title glimpse introduced Chiranjeevi in contrasting shades, generating strong curiosity among fans ahead of the Sankranthi release.
Meanwhile, Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta and backed by UV Creations, continues to face release uncertainty. The socio fantasy has reportedly required extensive VFX work, while recent industry reports suggest the makers are considering Summer 2027 as a practical window instead of forcing another immediate festive release.
Considering both projects, a direct Sankranthi clash now appears unlikely. Kaaka’s January 13 date remains officially active, while Vishwambhara could target a Summer 2027 slot after completing pending work and business formalities. With no new official release announcement from the Vishwambhara team, fans may have to wait for clarity on Chiranjeevi’s next theatrical outing.
