Senior Actress Pavala Shyamala Passes Away In Hyderabad Osmania

Veteran Telugu character artist Pavala Shyamala passed away on July 28, 2026, at 1:52 AM in Osmania Hospital, Hyderabad. Doctors confirmed she suffered a massive heart attack. She had been battling health issues for the past few months and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Shyamala entertained audiences for decades with comedy, mother and aunt roles. She acted in over 200 films including Samudram, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Khadgam and Golimaar. Known for her natural expressions, she became a familiar face in Telugu cinema and TV serials during the 90s and 2000s.
In her final years, Shyamala faced severe financial problems and age-related illnesses. Her daughter is also reportedly unwell. The contrast between her vibrant screen presence and her difficult last days has deeply saddened the film industry and fans across Telugu states.
