After trolls, Aamir Khan defends Sai Pallavi in Ek Din. Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi's romantic entertainer Ek Din directed by Sunil Panday is releasing on 1 May 2026.
Netizens started trolling Sai Pallavi for her broken Hindi and questioned her casting by the makers. In the midst of all this, Aamir Khan speaking to scribes, defended her.
He said , “I was very sure I wanted Sai Pallavi, and no one else for the film. She fitted the part like a glove. She is completely natural. In my opinion, Sai is the best contemporary actress in Indian cinema.”
He added “We sorted that by making the character a Tamilian,” He continued “Having done that, I was surprised at how quickly Sai conquered the ‘ka’ and ‘ki’ hurdles of Hindi.”
He revealed “There have been so many top Tamilian actresses in Hindi who spoke with an accent. It didn’t stop them from conquering the pan-India market.”
He concluded “I don’t think the language is a problem. Sai Pallavi is a fast learner. She will grasp Hindi in no time.”
