A Pakistani clothing brand called Wajayesha Official is getting slammed online for using AI-generated images of Alia Bhatt to promote its new collection. The brand posted a series of photos on Instagram showing an AI version of Alia wearing outfits from their pure sheesha silk ethnic line. The caption said, "Even Alia Bhatt like our pure sheesha silk collection!! Color can be customized, book your order now." That post didn’t sit well with fans.

People quickly figured out the images weren’t real photos of Alia. They were AI replicas made using her public looks. The backlash came fast. Users called it “cheap marketing” and warned the brand about legal trouble. One user wrote, "Shame on you. Atleast your country should know laws you can't use someone's images without her permission." Another added, "They are going to sue you."

The brand didn’t back down right away. In replies to comments, Wajayesha Official said, "Viral karein please ki unku bhi pata chal jaye," basically asking people to make the post go viral so Alia notices. When someone threatened legal action, the brand responded, "No, she will not." That attitude only added fuel to the fire, with more users calling out the misuse of a celebrity’s face without consent.

This whole issue brings up personality rights, an individual’s legal right to control how their identity is used commercially. You can’t just use a celebrity’s face in ads without permission. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will be back on the big screen with Alpha, a spy thriller directed by Shiv Rawail. The film is one of her most awaited projects, and fans are looking forward to seeing the real Alia, not an AI version.
